Moms love WWE!

As we countdown to this weekend's Wrestlemania in Miami, FL, more and more moms are embracing the theater and spectacle of WWE. We take a look at how WWE is bringing families together, and celebrate some of the outstanding work that WWE is doing with kids and local communities.

Diary of A Mom at WrestleMania

Attending WrestleMania truly ranks as an experience of a lifetime. Almost 80,000 fans packed the Sunlife Stadium, screaming at the top of their lungs while standing up during the entire event. The glamorous stage, the fireworks, and the pyrotechnic effects made the crowd go wild.

We had such a good time tweeting the blow-by-blow details of the big match of the Rock vs. John Cena. What a surprise that the Rock won given that he already saved the island, made the game plan, and plans to rescue GI Joe this summer! But, when it was all said and done, his million-dollar smile at the end of the match electrified moms across America.
WWE moms really came out of the closet. Everywhere we went in the stadium we met moms with their teens and even young children. We witnessed families bonding over the wins of Team Johnny and Kelly Kelly. Moreover, we experienced their embracing WWE’s charitable vision by buying and proudly wearing John Cena’s anti-bullying t-shirt. We bought the same version for our younger children and the “respect and tolerance” version for our Teen.
Watching the WWE salute the Military during the show moved us as well. Thanks so much to all the men and women who serve in our armed forces and work so hard to maintain our amazing way of life. Here is the video that the  we created to highlight our experience at the event.

No April Fool’s Joke: Moms Live @ Wrestlemania Tonight!
After watching WWE promote its be A STAR anti-bullying campaign, we are so excited and proud to be part of the team tweeting live at WrestleMania to moms around America.

So many moms have told me stories about how they saw WWE live as a child and what a fun experience it was. This nostalgia will drive them to purchase tonight's Pay Per View package so they can watch John Cena take on the Rock as the main attraction of WrestleMania. They also realize that the WWE presents family friendly entertainment and an opportunity to bond with their tweens and teens and discuss tough topics such as appropriate levels of violence and bullying.

Family time with WWE

On Sunday night over dinner, our 9-year boy and our 6-year girl told us they had voted for Kelly Kelly as a favorite for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. “Who is she?” we asked. “She is a WWE Diva who will win the butt-kicker category,” emphatically stated our daughter. I checked out the voting on-line and Kelly Kelly is running against Jessica Alba, Tom Cruise and Taylor Lautner. What a great female empowerment choice by our daughter! We decided to explore how other moms feel about the WWE and learned some great insights:

John Cena’s Mom, The Peanut Games, and Watching “The Rock” Grow Up

Unless you have been under a rock these past couple of weeks than you are aware the Wrestlemania XXVIII is right around the corner. In preparation, the moms of WWE are probably taking care of their sons (and daughters) and making sure they are prepared. John Cena’s mom is probably making peanut butter sandwiches for the entire cast and crew. Apparently, it’s what she does.

Taking a stand against bullying

Finding the right family friendly entertainment is rocky when you have a 13-year-old, 9 year and 6-year-old. Our oldest son doesn’t want Disney anymore, but our baby still loves princesses. (Secretly, we do too!) However, because our daughter just told us she was voting for Kelly Kelly of the WWE for the Kid’s Choice Awards, we decided it is time to explore WWE Entertainment to keep the whole gang happy.

WWE and the Community

The WWE has gotten involved in some of the best socially responsible programs around. If you are looking for a venue that believes in family and community the WWE is what you are looking for. Here are a few of their current initiatives.

WWE has a strong philosophy to give back to the communities and children whom we reach. “WWE In Your Corner” is WWE’s charitable arm that focuses on the company’s anti-bullying campaign, literacy programs, civic engagement, military support, and 30-plus year partnership with The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
