FiOS for Everyone
We all use the Internet in a multitude of different ways – e-mail, web browsing, playing games, streaming movies, online shopping, social networking – the list is almost endless. Our need to access the Internet is matched only by our thirst for smarter and faster devices. So it’s no surprise that many people are finding out that the Internet connections they have had in place for the last few years are starting to show signs of age.
With today’s Internet, it’s all about reliability and speed. I want to know that if my daughter is on Facebook and my son is playing World of Warcraft, then I can download a two-hour movie without someone complaining that “the Internet’s too slow.”
While speed never used to be much of an issue, it is now much more of a factor. In the same way that plugging in too many appliances can end up dimming the lights, connecting too many devices can slow down your Internet connection. And while we may be able to wait patiently for a web page to load, buffering during our favorite TV show or too much lag time during Star Wars: The Old Republic is a whole other story!
And it’s no longer just about download speeds. Every day someone in the family is uploading pictures or YouTube videos, or working on a collaborative online project that requires real-time feedback.
Verizon FiOS is leading the way in providing custom Internet solutions for individual families. The more devices you connect and the more activity you engage in, the greater your need for speed. FiOS Internet options vary from 15/5 Mbps (download/upload) to 150/65 Mbps, which will allow you to download a 5GB HD movie in less than 5 minutes!
If you are interested in saving some serious money, then all FiOS Internet options can be bundled with FiOS TV for a complete digital solution. FiOS TV includes up to 480 channels, including premium channels like SHOWTIME, Starz, HBO and Cinemax. FiOS TV also comes with over 30,000 Flex View titles for anytime, anywhere entertainment.
If you have a digital family, then Internet speed will eventually become an issue. With FiOS, you’ll have the solution before it ever becomes a problem!
