5 Apps to Help with Your Holiday Shopping

By Tracey Dowdy

Attention shoppers, we’re about to catapult into the holiday shopping season! Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are just around the corner, but what if you’re not interested in sleeping outside Walmart in November or staying up all night to get the best deal on a Wii? What’s a savvy shopper to do?

Not surprisingly, the answer is in the palm of your hand. Whether you’re a Type A shopper and already know who’s getting what or a Type B and you’ve forgotten that it’s almost December, these apps can help you find the perfect gift without blowing your holiday budget.

Pounce

Take a picture of an item in a magazine or flyer and Pounce will recognize it. Click “Buy now”, follow a few prompts to complete the transaction, and pick it up your merchandise at your local retailer. So far, the app supports Babies “R” Us, Ace Hardware, Staples, Macy's, Target and Toys “R” Us, and they’re looking to add more before the holidays.

Platform: iOS
Cost: Free

Shopular

Open Shopular when you get to the store and it immediately sends you an up-to-date list of in-store coupons. Stores range from Hobby Lobby and Michaels to Macy’s, Forever 21, H&M, Gap, Old Navy and Hollister.

Platform: iOS, Android
Cost: Free

Wanelo

There’s always that one person on your list who has everything or wants nothing. Wanelo (Want/Need/Love) provides a constant stream of suggestions that you can buy immediately or save to review later. Items are as unique as handmade Icelandic Soy candles with 2000 year old lava stones to one of a kind Christmas ornaments and clothing.

Platform: iOS, Android
Cost: Free

ShopSavvy

Use your phone to scan a barcode or search by keywords and ShopSavvy will let you know where to find it for the lowest price. Based on your results, you can decide whether to buy in-store or online. Personalize it and create wish lists for yourself or others.

Platform: iOS, Android
Cost: Free

The Christmas List

The Christmas List app allows you to create a budget, track it as you shop, organize your spending by store, and give yourself the gift of peace of mind knowing you won’t hate yourself when the credit card bills come due.

Platform: iOS
Cost: $1.99

Keep in mind that it’s difficult to track inventory in real time, especially during the holidays, so it’s often a good idea to call the store to confirm an item is still in stock.

So, get yourself organized, start downloading, and thank the shopping gods for smartphones!

As you may have guessed, it is made of titanium and some stainless steel¡ªthe case is titanium and the rolex replica sale is stainless steel. Synergy means cooperative action. This replica watches uk combines the best of the old and the new to deliver something uniquely modern. All of the classic elements are there. It has the sleek and stylish dial of the replica watches uk, the concave dot at the 12 o¡¯clock hour, and the Swiss quartz movement. But the Sapphire Synergy has something few breitling replica sale offer, a rubber wristband. Why rubber? Well, it¡¯s not a sport rolex replica sale, so using it outdoors is out of the question.
